"EastEnders”, one of the most popular soaps on British TV, celebrated its 20^th anniversary in 2005. There was a lot of publicity in the British press devoted to this event.

Here is an interview with Michelle Gayle, a former EastEnders character, in the "Young Telegraph”.

-         If you had to play another role in EastEnders, which would you choose?

-         It would have to be Roly the dog. He was always treated really well. He had his own dressing room and everyone loved him.

-         You’re in a bookshop: which of these would you choose?

c)      A thriller

-         A biography. Thrillers are cool but I don’t like romances at all.

-         You’ve only got three tapes for your Walkman. Which of this would you choose to play?

- Me, definitely. Especially when I have to re-learn a new mix of a song or a different backing track. I wouldn’t listen to a book on tape because I prefer to read books but I would listen to "Guns’n Roses”. I think they are very talented.
